American Security Group Announces Board Appointment
Company President and Security Veteran Serves State-Affiliated Board
Richmond, Va. (August 15, 2011)-American Security Group announced today that President John Hall, III has been appointed to the Private Security Services Advisory Board, whose purpose is to provide advice and comment to the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS). In addition to his regular role, Hall has also agreed to lead the Committee on Training, which reports to the Private Security Services Advisory Board. The advisory board members are appointed by the Criminal Justice Services Board.
Through the one year appointment, Hall, along with the entire board, will work to further security intelligence by discussing trends in the private and public sectors and advise the Criminal Justice Services Board on matters related to private security businesses regulation. There are 15 members that serve on the Board.
"Based on his nearly 20 years in the industry, John's extensive knowledge will be helpful as the board provides advice related to private sector, which may be considered when the Department develops and updates existing industry regulations." said Lisa McGee, regulatory manager, Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Division of Regulatory Affairs. "As a government agency, relationships with the private sector allow us to continually enhance integrated and technology-based support, services, programs, and practices that benefit our entire Commonwealth."
"Partnerships between national, state and community governments and private industries are increasingly critical," said Hall. "DCJS is applauded for their efforts to further establish such ground-breaking partnerships."
